Here is the pin assignment for the DHSG headset interface.  This interface is standardized, so it will be identical for all DHSG phones, not only the IP230.  You should be able thus to obtain a proper adapter cable from your headset manufacturer, even if there is not adapter for the IP230 listed.

Here is the pin assignment for the DHSG headset interface. This interface is standardized, so it will be identical for all DHSG phones, not only the IP230. You should be able thus to obtain a proper adapter cable from your headset manufacturer, even if there is not adapter for the IP230 listed.

DHSG uses an 8/8 RJ45 plug.

Assignement:

  • pin 1 - bus send
  • pin 2 - 0V
  • pin 3 - microphone
  • pin 4 - speaker
  • pin 5 - speaker
  • pin 6 - microphone (+)
  • pin 7 - DC in
  • pin 8 - bus recv

to connect a non-electronic-hook-switch, only pins 3 to 6 are relevant.
