Summary

An administrative call diversion is a diversion which is set by the administrator and not visible for the user.

Problem Details

If call diversion need to be set by the administrator, the user shouldn’t see them. Normally that isn’t possible because it is displayed by the Phones display.

Configuration V6

Set up a call diversion in the PBX. Therefore click the “+” sign in the appropriate users row and the Diversions column. A new applet window will popup. Enter the destination of the call diversion and the type.

By pressing OK the configuration will be stored and activated. The call diversion is now shown at the Phone. Maybe an arrow or a text field shows the call diversion.

To hide the call diversion click on the diversiontype on the appropriate users row and change the value to “Only not” and insert in the Name - Textfield “_ADMIN_” (or any other name or number which never dials this diversion).

When finished hit the “OK” button to save and activate this call diversion. The phone isn’t able to show diversion with filters and so the user can’t recognize it and also won’t be able to delete it.

To hide the call diversion click on the diversiontype on the appropriate users row and change the value “Sources” into “not from selected numbers” and click “Next” before clicking “OK”. In the following window enter “_ADMIN_” (or any other name or number which never dials this diversion) and change the Type to “Name” for the first row “Select1”.

When finished hit the “OK” button to save and activate this call diversion. The phone isn’t able to show diversion with filters and so the user can’t recognize it and also won’t be able to delete it.

Known Problems

Be careful by choosing the name or number for which the filter is set. This name or number should never be able to dial this diversion. Therefore “_ADMIN_” is good enough because it is a system account and also always available.
