Problem Description
The IP240 has two extra LEDs, located over the menu key. This article describes their function.
More Information
- The upper LED has the description 'MSG' and is used for Message Waiting Indication (MWI). The behaviour of the LED uses the following algorithm/principle :
- For a "Message Waiting" key:
- with an own LED only this LED is used
- without an own LED the MSG LED is triggered according to the configured "Active State/LED" pattern
- Without a "Message Waiting" key there is no Message Waiting Indication on the phone.
- For a "Message Waiting" key:
- The second LED has no description, it is used to signal calls were 'pickup' is possible. The algorithm is the same as with the MSG LED. If you have a 'Pickup - Function key' without an own LED, this LED is triggered according to the configured "Active State/LED" pattern
- The menu key has also a LED. This is used only to signal activity related to the bootcode (e.g. TFTP mode) and to the factory reset procedure
- The MSG LED, the pickup LED and the menu key LED cannot be programmed but have preconfigured functions.
