PBX Wakeup Calls are configuration items, which can be added to a PBX object. They are used to generate calls to the object they are configured for at the configured time. The time is the local time of the PBX. There are the following configuration options available:

  • Name/Number of the announcement source, which is called first
  • Execution may be dependent of Boolean object
  • Call may be retried a configurable time
  • The call may be executed once or periodical each day, hour or minute

The wakeup call is executed only if the object has a registration. From v12r1 / v11r2sr1 on, the wakeup call will also be sent if no registration is present (forking or mobility).

Possible Applications

  • A hotel application could use this to setup a wakeup call to a guest
  • Announcements calls sent to a multicast object each day when the shop closes, except weekends
  • Periodical call to a Voicemail object to execute some script
