The App IP is an app which offers the PBX functionality and further functionalities as App service on our innovaphone App Platform.

The App IP offers modules known from innovaphone gateways, like the PBX, TURN server functionality etc.

Unlike other App Services, the App IP is a single instance App Service, so you can create '''just''' a single instance and not multiple instances.

Standard licensing mechanisms apply to the App IP as they apply to innovaphone gateways.

In addition, every port license requires a dedicated IPAP license (similar to the IPVA license for virtual machines).

If your App Platform which runs the App IP is connected to a Devices App, you can access the Advanced UI with the '''PBX''' tab of your App Platform device.

== Functional Distinction from a Gateway or an IPVA ==
Due to the system architecture, not all existing software functions of a gateway or an IPVA can be made available in an "IP App".

The following features are not available:
* Additional Administrator Accounts under General/Admin
* PBX users with "additional user rights" and an associated login to the advanced UI
* SOAP (currently)

==Troubleshooting==
The App IP offers standard tracing mechanism for App Services and in addition mechanisms known from innovaphone gateways. 
You can enable module related trace flags with config change commands or by setting trace flags under Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Tracing in the Advanced UI of the App IP.

Trace files are not found under Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Tracing but on the App IP service on your App Platform Manager.
The same applies to logs. The log flags are enabled under Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Logging in the Advanced UI of the App IP but the output is visible in the App IP service logs.

The installation process must be performed using a DNS name rather than an IP address. 
The URL must include the parameter ''?apdns="DNS from App Platform"'' in the path, for example: http://app.domain.com/domain.com/ip/install.htm?apdns=pbx.domain.com 
Starting with version 16r1 sr1, installation using an IP address is supported. 

However, it is generally recommended to use DNS for the installation.
