Since this replicator is limited in applying a configuration template, groups, and more based on AD settings, we developed a tool called eManager to expand the replicator’s capabilities. The eManager is installed on a Windows Server system using IIS. It functions similarly to the replicator: synchronization from AD to PBX is performed cyclically in the background. After the initial configuration, the end user (customer) doesn’t need to take any further action other than configuring AD with the appropriate attributes and groups.

If a customer wants to manage pickup groups using AD, they can create groups in Active Directory with the naming format ‘eManager_Pickup_GroupName’. After a user is added to this group, eManager creates a corresponding PBX group, adds all PBX users to it and creates a pickup key.
