FAQ: I am trying to configure my innovaphone IP6000 gateway to work with an asterisk PBX via h.323. Calls from asterisk to the IP6000 are fine but when making calls in the other direction the calling party cannot hear anything, although they can hear any DTMF tones that are broadcast. What can I do?
This seems to be a port problem. If the codec determination was ok, but an endpoint is sending the media stream to an incorrect port or IP address, there are problems with NAT. As a result you will not hear the other endpoint.
Try to investigate this with a network sniffer like ethereal / wireshark to check the correct media channel establishment.
