Enhance your communication with our Connector for Microsoft Teams Phone app for innovaphone and our certified CloudSBC. This solution allows for a straightforward connection of Microsoft Teams users to your innovaphone PBX, requiring no additional hardware or software. Simply log in to your Microsoft 365 account, and Microsoft Teams Direct Routing will be configured automatically. Assign phone numbers and users with just a few clicks, making setup a breeze.

Multi-PBX ready

You can connect as many supported PBX and Microsoft 365 tenants as you want to the CloudSBC. The assignment of Microsoft Teams users and PBX users is possible across all configured nodes. No special configuration is required for this.

Cloud ready

Cloud installations are supported, as we support all scenarios in which 3rd-party SIP phones can be connected from the Internet to the innovaphone PBX using SIP/TLS via the innovaphone Reverse Proxy.

Licensing

Licensing of CloudSBC for innovaphone generally takes place via a separate innovaphone App license. Alternatively, licenses can be provided via an authorized CloudSBC sales partner. Mixing innovaphone licenses and CloudSBC licenses is possible without restrictions. You can request a free trial once, directly via the app.

While the app itself is license-free and serves only administrative purposes, the licenses are assigned to the users who are configured on the CloudSBC for Microsoft Teams. The users still need a port license, but no additional port licenses are required.

Prerequisites

The requirements must be met to register 3rd-party SIP phones with the innovaphone PBX, which means primarily:

  • public IPv4 address (dynamic or static)
  • public DNS name to this IPv4 address
  • innovaphone Reverse Proxy configured for SIP/TLS
  • respective ports forwarded to it by the NAT router/firewall

Versions

Compatible innovaphone firmware versions

  • innovaphone 13r3 sr16 or higher
  • innovaphone 14r1 sr4 or higher
  • innovaphone 14r2 beta1 or higher

Older versions have not been tested and are not supported by us. However, it should be possible to connect them if a separate innovaphone Reverse Proxy is used with one of the versions mentioned (e.g. RP 13r3 sr16 for PBX 13r3 sr11).

The required CloudSBC support is not implemented in older versions of the innovaphone Reverse Proxy. The extensions would register, but calls would drop and payload problems would occur. If you notice such problems, please first check the installed version and consider an update.

Configuration

After installing the app from the App Store, create an instance like any other app.

Use the PBX Manager to integrate the app by creating a PBX object. We recommend making the app accessible only to administrators and therefore selecting a template such as "Config Admin" directly.

The created app object requires the following settings and permissions, which must be set manually via the Advanced UI (e.g. via the Devices app):

  • Websocket
  • ​​Admin
  • PbxApi

Open the app to start a free trial or log in with an existing CloudSBC account. Once the connection to CloudSBC is established, further setup is done via the CloudSBC Portal.
