Description

Users can be deployed and configured in various ways, such as with the built-in Active Directory (AD) replicator by innovaphone. Since this replicator is limited in applying a configuration template, groups, and more based on AD settings, we developed a tool called eManager to expand the replicator’s capabilities. The eManager is installed on a Windows Server system using IIS. It functions similarly to the replicator: synchronization from AD to PBX is performed cyclically in the background. After the initial configuration, the end user (customer) doesn’t need to take any further action other than configuring AD with the appropriate attributes and groups.

Competitive Analysis

If a customer wants to manage pickup groups using AD, they can create groups in Active Directory with the naming format ‘eManager_Pickup_GroupName’. After a user is added to this group, eManager creates a corresponding PBX group, adds all PBX users to it and creates a pickup key. Neither the systems integrator nor the customer needs to configure anything on the PBX for this group.

Prerequisites

  • Windows Server 2019 or above
  • HTTP PBX admin user (HTTPs port is open)
  • Active Directory user with read permission (LDAPs port is open)
  • Optional SMTP user (sending anonymously is possible) (SMTP port is open)

Configuration

The product will be installed by an effexx software expert and afterwards configured using the credentials for PBX, Active Directory and end customer preferred settings.

Pricing

We provide an installation with a three month trial period for two purposes:

  • System integrator wants to test functionality and learn about eManager
  • End customers wants to have a PoC setup before placing an order

The product is sold with one-time costs based on PBX user count. The API functionality is optional and conditions are agreed upon individually
