Howto:Hot Desking on innovaphone IP-Phones

FAQ:

First Question, customer has a phone, where is nobody registered. User comes, log in use the phone when end is work leave and other user could sit and use the phone now since it's free. How do configured this, because the primary registration cannot be deleted?

Second Question, two users share the same phone at the same time how to use Hot Desking?

Answer:

First Question:

In this case were phone is used by turn use the function Hot Desking for this. How to set this?

First delete all configuration from the User-x at the IP Phone. Then go to User-1 set only at Primary Gatekeeper the IP address of the PBX, Language and at Function key list set Hot Desking function. Label this Function key with Login/Logout for Active and Idle State.

After this user clicks on the Function key and insert extension number or name and password and push menu key to submit values to register at the PBX.

After he login the Phone will obtain from the PBX the configuration of this user, so It's important also that each user have at their function key list the Hotdesking function key similar to the one was configured in the phone initially. But in this case he will see the information Logout on screen.

If user press this function key then the phone will Logout and return to initial state ready to other user Login.

Second Question:

In this case with 2 simultaneous registrations (Example User-1 and User-2). It's recommend each of them have function key called Activate-Registration instead of Hot Desking Function Key .

Enable the option "Activate Next Enabled Registration" and give a label name like "Switch User". So when a user clicks this button the phone will activate the next registration on the phone but not disabling the previous one. Since both have the same key on the same location with same description user just hit this key to jump between them.
