The innovaphone voicemailsystem doesn’t need a user setup but two function keys could enhance the usability noticeable.

More Information

System Requirements

A V6 innovaphone IP Phone.

A user configuration for voicemail accounts isn’t needed but maybe it’s helpful to have 1 function keys for set/unset the diversion to the voicemail and 1 for the Message Waiting Indication (MWI).

Configuration

Diversion to Voicemailsystem

Go to your phone’s webinterface, login and select the appropriate registration at the Administration menu.

Open the pulldown menu right beside the function key that you would like to use for the diversion. Choose (click on) “Call Forwarding” and wait until the PopUp window appears.

Enter some text or choose a icon for the idles state of that function key, something like “VM on”. Do the same for the first active state, something like “VM off”. Enter the number of your Voicemailsystem as diversion target inside the number field inside the “Always” row.

Because we only wan’t to set and unset the diversion, we only need two states and go on with pressing the “ok” button at the bottom to close the PopUp window. The key text will now appear on the phone, too.

MWI function key

Assuming that you haven’t left your phone’s webinterface, go on with the MWI function key like above. Select the appropriate registration at the Administration menu.

Open the pulldown menu right beside the function key that you would like to use for the MWI. Choose (click on) “Message Waiting” and wait until the PopUp window appears.

Enter some text or choose a icon for the idles state of that function key, something like “VM”. For the active state, choose an icon (maybe the letter?) and maybe turn on the LED (blink or flickr is helpful). Under “Message Center Account” enter the number of your Voicemailsystem directly followed by your own extension, something like XAB (with AB as your ext.). Go on with pressing the “ok” button at the bottom to close the PopUp window. The key text will now appear on the phone, too.

Usage

To call your Voicemailbox for setup or checking mails, call the number of your voicemail system followed by your extension or simply press the VM key on your phone (because it is also a shortdial).

To enable/disable you voicemaildiversion use the second function key “VM on”/”VM off”.

To login your newly setup account call your Voicemailbox. When asked for a PIN use the standard value 8765. Change this immediately or anybody could check your voicemails!

Known Problems

  • The connected name for a voicemail connection is shown as _HTTP_. This will be fixed soon.
  • When pressing the R-key an changing back to the voicemail call, the connection is lost. Will be fixed soon, also.
