innovaphone IP Phones User Configuration for registering on FritzBox

More Information

Configuration FritzBox User

Configure user within FritzBox-admin-menu as shown below.

Remark: According to experiences with current hard- and software (FB7590, 7.00), selected password (Kennwort) must not match or resemble the choosen username (Benutzername). Although no error is displayed, later on phone login will just not work.

Configuration innovaphone User Config

Login to the webbased user interface of the phone via webbrowser. Insert ip-adress of phone to your browser and login with userid "admin" and password "ipxxx" where xxx stands for the phone type (e.g. IP232 has default password "ip232").

Attention ! Since Fritz Box Firmware Version 7.50 the General Coder Preference must be set at least to "G722"

Configuration Message Waiting Key

innovaphone phones support RFC 3842 which defines SIP based message waiting procedure.

This enables definition and use of message waiting function key and lamp to access FritzBox-built-in voicemail service.

By default, FritzBox-VM owns number **600. Any further described configuration assume this as default. If this is changed by user or manufacturer, configuration below has to be adapted.

Control of MWI-LED and voicemail access via function key requires definition of both number and name as follows:

  • Number: <FritzBox-VM>@fritz.box - default **600@fritz.box ; do NOT tick Append Own Number
  • Name: <username>@fritz.box

Voicemail on/off Key

Add an "Dial" function key. Insert in Action>Number the Fritz-Box-VM owns number **600, followed from one waiting command "," and the FritBox-VM DTMF Command for on/off "3".
