Installing innovaphone mrs 6.01

System Requirements

You will need the mrs easysetup [easysetup]

and the standard cycos mrs CD cycos mrs CD

Installation

The innovaphone mrs Easy Setup is a simplified installation procedure for the innovaphone mrs VoiceMail system.

It is based upon cycos' mrs 6.01 server.

The Ergo VoiceMail component will be installed and configured as well as the H.323 Service Provider used to talk to the innovaphone PBX component.

For easy integration into the innovaphone PBX configuration, a reference configuration file is generated.

The innovaphone mrs VoiceMail server is subject to separate licensing.

Please note that there must not be an mrs server installed when using this setup.

After successful setup, there will be installed and configured

- the basic mrs message engine

- a POP3/IMAP service to access voice mails fromn within your email client

- an LDAP service which synchronizes the mrs user configuration with the PBX's user configuration

- the "Ergo" VoiceMail system

Installing Licence

You need to manually edit the licences and the server language settings.

For installing the licences you have go to the easysetup folder open the config folder

open the config.ini

In the config.ini are licences [lic] these licences are time based and out of date.

Please put in your licences with copy&paste and replace the existing licences.

The licences you insert have to be in this format (for example)

0=000-18-4B3; 7E08-2AF0-B999; Product: mrs Message Routing System

Also if you want to change the Server language you have to make this in the config.ini.

The server language are basic welcome mrs voice Promts

for german:

Language=GERMAN
LanguageInt=1031

for english:

Language=ENGLISH
LanguageInt=1033

for french:

Language=FRENCH
LanguageInt=1036

Starting Instalaltion:

Folder CD- open the setup exe- and when the window for the path to the server cd appears- put in the cycos Mrs 6.01 installation CD and and enter the install path to this cd.

RAS Registration

If you connect the MRS 6.01 Voice mail system to an innovaphone System.

You can do this via normal Gateway connectoin (without registration), OR-

This is the easy way to integrate the innovaphone mrs into the innovaphone pbx without crating routes and extra Gateways.

You configure an RAS Registration (if you want redundancy, reconnect after server down or network problem also if you want to conenct direct to an pbx user object).

First stop the mrs server

Therefore you have to go to regedt32- Hkey_local_machine /software / pp-com /mrs /ip-apl/ devices /02

There you go to Private: REG_MULTI_SZ

Configure the Gatekeeper you can use 0.0.0.0 - so you can work with alternate gatekeeper (for redundancy)

you need h.323 name and e.164 address

For example how the registry entry has to be done:

GK=0.0.0.0

GKNAME=MRS

GKE164=9

Then start the mrs server

At the innovaphone relay (with V5) you configure an gatekeeper client group - with the ipaddress of the mrs server h.323 name and e.164 same as in the mrs reg entry.

Or with V6

Create a Gateway Object in the innovaphone pbx

Enblock Count

means the length of the Voice Mail extension

Enable Prefix

So that you do not send the prefix with the extension (in this case the 9 )

Known Problems

No MWI is working with innovaphone pbx
