Depending on device, this menu shows you whether a SSD is being used. Please note that the devices support the FAT32 format only. To be able to use the SSD properly, it must be formatted accordingly beforehand. The card can only be formatted if it is first unmounted' using the umount or remove button.

 Note
The disk is only really unmounted if no folders or files are being accessed any more.
If, for example, voicemail that is on the SSD, is accessed,
then the block and the subsequent formatting only take effect when the voicemail is no longer being accessed.

To transfer files to the SSD, the card must be connected as a network drive. This is only possible in a mounted state. Should the SSD be unmounted, it must be mounted using the mount button.

 Note
To be able to connect the SSD as a network drive, the following path must be used:
 "\\<IP address of the gateway>\DRIVE\CF0".
User and password correspond to the user and password as configured in chapter "Configuration/General/Admin".

Supported card sizes

The firmware supports SSDs up to 128 GB. Greater SSDs can be also used, if formatted inside the firmware, but just up to 128GB can be accessed!
If you run a Linux on the SSD, the size does not matter, as Linux supports SSDs greater than 128 GB.

Buttons

The following buttons are available:

Info

Shows some usefull infos, e.g. the available free space.

Mount/Umount

Mounts/unmounts the SSD. If the card is not mounted, it cannot be accessed. It can however be formatted or a checkdisk can be run. If there are open files or folders, the card won't be unmounted and the files/directories will be listed, so that the administrator can decide if an unmount with 'Remove' is secure.

Remove

Also unmounts the SSD if files or directories are currently opened. Necessary operations will be finished, so that there will be no data inconsistency, but e.g. log files will be closed.

Chkdisk

Checks the SSD for errors.

Format

Formats the SSD in the FAT32 format.

Use the checkbox Format the whole flash disk and remove exisiting partitions? if you also want to erase partitions (e.g. if you had installed a Linux Application Platform image).

Remark: SSDs with a size bigger than 128GB will be formatted for 128GB size only. Use of full size (e.g. 256GB) is possible by installation of a Linux Application Platform which is able to manage more than 128GB.

Browse Content

Allows you to browse through the disk's content. Please note that the flash file system implementation will always show file creation timestamps rather than file modification timestamps (neither modification time stamps nor the archive bit are maintained for speed).
