This page describes the PBX Manager Plugin of the Fax App. The plugin supports configuring the app service and adding, changing or deleting user client apps.
The app service provides the user Fax App:
- with a personal account.
- with a group account.
The first PBX fax object which can be created with this plugin is an app with a personal account.
Further objects are apps with a group account.
Fax interfaces are registered to the first object; the fax service creates or accepts calls with this object.
Configuration
General configuration
- PBX replication filter: The user data can be replicated only from one PBX. If more than one PBX connect to the app service, this filter is necessary to chose the right PBX with all user data.
SMTP configuration
Required data for outgoing emails
- Hostname: resolvable DNS name or an IP address literal e.g. [123.255.37.2] of your App Platform (i.e. the SMTP client). If you connect to the SMTP-server through a NAT-router (e.g. public SMTP server), use a DNS-name or IP-address that resolves to your NAT-router public IP.
- Server[:port]: resolvable DNS name or IP-address of used SMTP server plus optional port separated by ':'
- User name: valid user account at SMTP server (mandatory)
- Password: password of SMTP user account (mandatory)
- Sender address: email address of sender
- Sender name: name of sender

Customized texts
Options for text modification at incoming documents
- Mail subject: static text
- Default value: Fax from <name of fax-App>
- Mail body (HTML): static or HTML-formatted text by e.g. composition of HTML mails with an e-mail program and use of the generated HTML code
- Default value: Hello <Long Name of PBX user>,you have received a fax document from <remote-number> with <pages> pages.Kind regards
A customized text for the subject or body can have only static content, no variables/placeholders (e.g. remote-number) can be used.
Fax App
Definition of a personal fax app including interface selection:
- Name: Object long name
- SIP: Object name. Allowed characters accord to the general name object properties
- Number: Object number to be prepended for fax calls
- Internat. fax number: printed in headline of fax document
- Company name: printed in headline of fax document
- FAX interface: selection of fax-capable devices available in the system
- Device name: name of fax-capable device as defined in the Devices App
- Hardware ID: serial number/MAC of a device
- Product: innovaphone device model
- Available channels: amount of offered fax channels
- T.38 allowed: T.38 codec for the fax transmission allowed
- Audio fax allowed: audio codecs (G.711) for the fax transmission allowed. Availability depends on the device type. Two DSP channels needed for each used fax channel.
- Channels app: not to be used
- Default Recipient: Faxes are received for this user or this fax group, if no personal fax number is appended, the number is not assigned or the assigned user has no fax license.
- Configuration Templates: select configuration templates to be applied for the fax app object

- Name: Object long name
