Number mappings performed on the interface. There are mappings for calls coming in from the interface (CGPN-In, CDPN-In) and mappings for calls going out on the interface (CGPN-Out, CDPN-Out). The Called Party Number (CDPN) and the Calling Party Number (CGPN) can be mapped.

For calls coming in on the interface the number can be mapped from a representation using different Type of Number formats(National, International, Subscriber, ...) to a representation using the type Unknown and prefixes.

A '.' at the left side of a mapping matches any digit.

For calls going out on the interface the number can be mapped from a representation using the type Unknown and prefixes to a representation using different Type of Number formats(National, International, Subscriber, ...).

In the last column the numbering plan can be configured. The numbering plan may be forwarded unchanged or may be set to Unknown, ISDN or Private. The Private numbering plan is widely used to mark internal calls.

Note: The maps are executed when the call arrives. There is no collecting of digits for overlap dialing implemented. There is one exception: If the call contains no called party number the maps are executed again when the first digits are received. If a map is configured without a CDPN to match in this case, this is executed when the call arrives and may result in a different output then the execution of the map with the first digit. A syslog Overlap-CDPN-In-Map-Mismatch is generated to indicate this.
