innovaphone mrs uses SMTP to send "new-voice-mail" notifications to users.  This will work with virtually any email system such as Micorsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, etc.  For this function, no special "connector" whatsoever is required.

the user management is fully automated.  there is no need for manual intervention, as normally all PBX user accounts are silently replicated to mrs by virtue of the LDAP replicator which comes fully configured when using the Easy Setup. 

The available Exchange and Notes connector provide for a deeper integration into the mailing system and also feature special message forms to display and playback voice mails.  However, they require considerably higher installation effort.  This is why both come only bundled with on-site installation support.
