This document describes the working features of an innovaphone Chef/Secretary configuration, using a combination of third party phones (chef) and innovaphone phones (secretary).

In this combination, many but not all of the required features will work. Please note that we do not recommend to use 3rd party phones for the secretary, as this will severely limit the functionality.

This document describes the configuration of a Chef/Secretary scenario, when a combination of third party (chef) and innovaphone phones (secretary) is used.

In this combination, many but not all of the required features will work. Please note that we do not recommend to use 3rd party phones for the secretary, as this will severely limit the functionality.

System Requirements

The third party phone must support SIP or H323 as signalling protocol.

Installation

Both phones register at the PBX. The third party phone is registered as an 'executive' object in the pbx.

Working Features

  • all calls to the 'executive' user are diverted to the secretary. (exceptions can be configured, to directly call the 'executive' user)
  • configuration of diferent secretary groups(primary/secondary)
  • secretary can dynamically subscribe or unsubscribe to the secretary group
  • if no secretary is active, the call may be passed directly to the 'executive' user
  • secretary and other special users can make direct calls to the 'executive' user
  • 'executive' user can make direct speaker announcements to secretary
