It is necessary to configure the operating mode of the DECT system. A gatekeeper must also be specified here, on which the innovaphone PBX component is operated.

  • Mode: Active switches on the DECT master function. In every DECT system, there must be a DECT master.
    • Off switches off the DECT master function.
    • Active switches on the DECT master function.
    • Standby switches on the standby function for the DECT master.
  • Primary Master IP Address: This field is only visible if this device has been configured as Standby-Master (Mode = Standby). The IP address of the DECT-Master has to be configured here.
  • Prot: The protocol to be used for the communication. There is a choice between:
    • H.323 (RFC 1889), which is the recommended protocol for innovaphone VoIP devices, since it implements most features.
    • SIP (RFC 3261).
  • GK: The IP address of the primary gatekeeper. The device on which the innovaphone PBX component is operated.
  • Alt GK: The IP address of the secondary, alternative gatekeeper.
  • GK ID: The gatekeeper ID of the gatekeeper to be used.
  • STUN Server: STUN server to be used if DECT master has no public ip address and SIP server is outside the local network.
  • Name for Authentication: Some SIP PBXs need authentication name different from the registration id. This enables the number being used as id and the name for authentication.
  • Enbloc Dialing If enabled, the dialed numbers will be sent together within the setup message after timeout.
  • Send inband DTMF If enabled, DTMF will be sent as inband DTMF.
  • Allow DTMF through RTP If enabled, DTMF capability through RTP is allowed.
  • Enable messaging to PBX Message will be send via SIP or H.323, if disabled messages will be sent via the Polycom MSF-Module.
  • Idle Display Update Enables idle display updates.
  • Disable broadcast delay For small installations it is not necessary to delay the broadcasts for incoming calls to the radios. Enabling this option is not recommended for big systems.

Registering Dect Phones in a easy deployment way:

Giving a DECT phone his registration/extension, it can get registered by dialling *<master-id>*<extension>[*<user AC>#] --> *0*100 or *0*100*1234# with user AC 1234 on the DECT Phone. The master Id is always 0 at the IP1200 (if its a singlcecell or multicell solution), and in this case the extension is 100. So the Phone is already subscribed at the IP1200 and with the dialling of the number shown above the IPEI code will be "put" into the User Object with the Number 100, and so the DECT Phone gets this extension.
