More Information

innovaphone devices sometimes create logical registration interfaces with strange names such as e.g. RAB1. Such registration interfaces are similar in function to the SIP and GWx interfaces and can be used wherever those can be used. They are created implicitly whenever a physical interface is directly registered to a PBX using the Internal Registration settings in the interface configuration form.

You should always use such implicit interface registration if at all possible. This will create a new logical registration interface as explained above as well as 2 implicit routes in the Administration / Gateway / Routes which route calls straight back and forth between the interface and its respective logical registration. This is the default, but you can add whatever routing constructs such as maps as needed.

The names for the interfaces are derived from the interface type, possibly extended with a sequential number if the interface type exists multiple times in the device.
