More Information

Latest innovaphone builds contain an initial messaging implementation. The basic idea is the ability to send and receive messages using innovaphone telephones. Interoperability with other 3rd party messaging systems and GSM - SMS service is in the first step not an issue. This may be addressed afterwards.

System Requirements

At least 2 innovaphone Telephones H.323/SIP registered at innovaphone PBX.

Configuration

Activate messaging through command line interface (http or usbload interactive)

http://x.x.x.x/!config change PHONE USER /text-messaging
http://x.x.x.x/!config write
http://x.x.x.x/!config activate

Note: Messaging has to be activated on both (sending/receiving) phones.

Known Problems

  • Some older PBX versions caused problems with H.323 based registrations, change the registration to use SIP or upgrade the PBX firmware
