To be able to record telephone calls, it is necessary to initiate a conference, in which the recording device can be interconnected as required.
- Mode: There are three types of recording:
- Manual: In this mode, recording takes place only on request of the subscriber. Recording is enabled/disabled by pressing the Redial key.
- Transparent: This mode activates continuous recording and cannot be interrupted by the subscriber.
- Optional: This mode initiates recording automatically with every call, but can be interrupted on request of the subscriber.
Tip: The Optional mode is an appropriate choice if, at the beginning of the call, it is not yet definite whether recording is necessary.
- Number: Here, you enter the telephone number under which the recording device may be reached.
- Name: Alternatively, you can also enter the H.323 name of the recording device.
- External call only: With this setting, the recording function can be restricted to calls outside one’s own telephone system.
