  • innovaphone PBX V6 and later

More Information

Especially for a usage with IP21 and a loudspeaker system it is necessary to play some warning bell before the actual announcement. For this purpose an ability of the innovaphone IP-Phones to setup an additional call via recording function is used. In this case the a recording call is initiated to a waiting queue with a jingle as a 1st announcement configured on it.

Configuration

The configuration must be performed on the PBX and on the phone used for announcement calls.

PBX configuration:

  • at first place the desired announcement file jingle.g711 and silence.g711(can be found in the innovaphone Voicemail installation file) on compact flash card or external HTTP server. Refer to related articles to find out how.
  • create a Waiting Queue in the PBX called "Jingle"
    • configure 1st Announcement URL: http://192.168.1.10/DRIVE/CF0/jingle.$coder?coder=g729,g711a
    • configure 2nd Announcement URL: http://192.168.1.10/DRIVE/CF0/silence.$coder?coder=g729,g711a
    • set "Alert Timeout" to 0

Phone configuration:

  • use additional registration for announcement calls, since all calls are prefixed with a jingle
  • under "Registration 2->Recording" set Mode to transparent and Name to Jingle or the Number to the number of Waiting Queue Object
  • create a "Dial" function key with the number of your "MCast Announce" or "BC Conference" Object used to place your announcements and enable "Announcement" option on it
