Description

In this Article, I will show you how you can configure a PBX as an External Conferencing Resources.

Requirements

  • innovaphone PBX
  • The Conf Interface registration requires one Port License.
  • Every PBX registration requires one Port License on the PBX.
  • App(innovaphone-pbx-conferencing) License.

Pre-Configuration of the Conferencing Gateway

PBX Configuration

  • Go to PBX/Config and Choose "Master" as PBX Mode
  • Enter the following parameters: System Name, PBX Name, Reverse Proxy Addresses
  • Important: Enter "Conf" in "Route Root-Node External Calls to", we will create this Object later, you can also name it something else, but it's important that the Long Name matches

Setting up the Conf Registration and the Conf Interface

  • First you go to Gateway/Interfaces
  • Now you open the Conf Interface and enter following parameters: Name, Protocol: H.323/TLS, Gatekeeper Address: 127.0.0.1
  • Now we Register the Conf Interface to a Gateway Object
    • Head to the Section PBX/Objects
    • Create a new "Gateway" Object
    • Enter the following parameters: Long Name (this name is important for the step above in "PBX Configuration"), Display Name, Name
    • As Hardware ID you enter your Conf Gateway "Mac Address-Interface", e.g. "12ABC7426CDD-CONF"

Configuration of the Cloud customer's PBX

Configuration for every Customer (on the Conferencing PBX)

  • 1. First, you create a new Gateway Object under PBX/Objects
  • 2. Enter the following parameters (Long Name; Display Name; Name; Password)
  • 3. Edit following parameters (Hardware ID: Name of your Gateway Object, Config VOIP: check)
  • 4. After pressing on "Apply" you can see a new section has appeared on the top
  • 5. Press on that Section and Choose "H.323/TLS", here you will enter your Customers GK ID and GK Address

Creating the Conf Object on the Customer PBX

  • Open PBX/Objects and create a new "Conf Object"
  • Enter the following parameters (Long Name; Display Name; Name; Number)
  • Also edit the Hardware ID of the Conf object, here you will enter the name of the Gateway that we just created for the Customer
    • Head to the section Devices and also enter the Hardware ID here, if it was successful you should see a registration to the right

  • After Creating the Conference Object, you will notice that two Routes have been configured automatically on the Customer PBX

Verification

Creating a static Room and verify it works

  • Open your Conference Object and move to the Section "Options"
  • Change Room Number length to 2
  • A new Section will appear called "Rooms", move to that Section
  • Create a new Room
  • Call that Room and see if you successfully entered the Room and everything works fine.
