innovaphone entertains a innovaphone recommended product logo programme. Here is how it works.

What it is all about

The Logo Programme has the following main objectives:

  • Development of a closer partnership with 3rd party vendors
  • Support of marketing and press activities through mutual presence on the respective web sites and coordinated press releases
  • Guidance for innovaphone customers through the "Which devices and 3rd party applications do work with innovaphone solutions" jungle (Compatibility List)
  • Guidance for innovaphone and innovaphone partner sales and pre-sales staff regarding the opportunities brought by 3rd party applications

How it works

These are the required steps (not necessarily in exactly this order):

  • Someone (we, a partner, a 3rd party vendor) deems a 3rd party product interesting for this programme
  • This idea is brought up to ckl, along with contact to the 3rd party vendor (usually the product manager)
  • I will contact the vendor
  • The vendor completes the recommended product form (see Appendix A, p. 3)
  • A reference installation is set up in innovaphone’s compatibility lab [1]
  • Problems encountered will be analyzed and possibly fixed
  • Once the product is shown to work with innovaphone solutions, innovaphone will issue the respective certificate
  • The product will be added to the "Recommended Product List" in the publicly accessible innovaphone web space as a „recommended product“
  • Along with further information regarding the pricing structure, a competitive analysis and a sales contact, the product will be added to the innovaphone web space which is accessible only to innovaphone and innovaphone partner staff
  • The vendor will add a note regarding the certification on its own publicly accessible web space along with a link to innovaphone’s web site
  • The product is demonstrable in innovaphone’s compatibility lab
  • The vendor is granted the right to use the logo
  • The certification will be published in the innovaphone Newsletters
  • The vendor optionally receives an opportunity to present the product to the innovaphone sales staff as part of the monthly innovaphone sales meeting
  1. ↑ In most cases, innovaphone will sponsor the required PC hardware and operating system licenses plus the innovaphone devices necessary. The vendor will sponsor its own devices and/or software licenses. The vendor will perform the reference installation either through an on-site visit or by remote maintenance (preferred).

Are there different levels of certification?

No. There are no „Gold-“ or „Silver“ levels.

However, there is a chance that we are testing products in a one-shot, ad-hoc fashion. The result (a test result) will be added to the internal web only. This does not require cooperation by the equipment vendor.

Who may be certified?

In principle, there is no limitation. However, there is quite some effort involved, so that there must be a significant potential to innovaphone.

How does such a certificate look like?

What is required by the vendor?

  • First of all, the product to be certified must be provided such that the test and reference installation can be performed and maintained properly
  • There must be a responsible sales and technical contact
  • Technical assistance. The way this is provided may differ significantly depending on the nature of the product. The PC hardware in the compatibility lab is remotely accessible, an installation may thus not require an on-site visit. The hardware will usually be provided by innovaphone (as long as it uses standard PCs and innovaphone devices)
  • The vendor must provide all wording to be used on the public and internal web
  • If a joint press release is anticipated, a press contact is required

How do I start the process?

If you intend to have your product certified, then contact your responsible innovaphone sales representative. She will then liaise with innovaphone presales. If the product certification is approved, the vendor needs to create a new article in this wiki, using the proper template. To do so, replace "Vendor" with your official company name, "Product" with the official product name and click "Create". Edit the new article (note the commentary inside the template) and let us know!
