''Note: New with V9 - only the user that has the partner key must be active in the same group. There is no need to configure a group indication anymore.
Hint:

If you want to see the status of some users just put these users in the same group (member only) for which you are active in the group (no group indication needed anymore with V9).

Partner

The Partner function is divided into three states.

  • Idle: In the Idle state, this key performs a direct dial.
  • Alerting: This state indicates that the partner's telephone is ringing; the call can be picked up with this key.
  • Busy: In the Busy state, the function key is used only to display the partner state.

With the following functions, you can use the Partner function as described.

Partner identification

  • You define the partner telephone with the corresponding number and name.

Partner Type

  • Default - normal partner key
  • Executive - use the CLIP (extension) of the partners executive object to execute calls
  • Secretary - see CFX (call diversion) state and primary secretary join/unjoin group state.

Perform intrusion if partner is busy

  • If the partner’s line is already active, an intrusion call is sent with a preceding alert signal. The current call is automatically put on hold.

Type Conference or silent monitoring

Subscribe for Presence

  • Needed to be activated when the presence status of the partner should be monitored.

Subscribe for Dialog Info

  • Needed to be activated to get the partner informations of users from other PBXs. When Subscribe for Dialog Info is turned, the partner's busy state will be retrieved using a subscription. No group indications are required nor evaluated then. Otherwise, the partner's busy state is derived from group indications received. As a result, the partner key will work only if group indications are configured for the user.
