innoaphone devices using encrypted media streams (SRTP)

More Information

SRTP (Secure Realtime Protocol) is used to transmit encrypted media (i.e. voice) streams. There is a slight overhead caused by this. However, this overhead is neglectable.

More precisely, encryption will add a 4-byte header used for integrity checking to each SRTP packet. If we assume a 30ms packetization, this will add an extra 135bps per stream and direction.
